Sceau en forme de trois champignons [Seal in the form of three mushrooms]

  •  An elegant and uncommon Art Nouveau desk seal in the form of three mushrooms by the French sculptor Léo-Victor Gardey, best known for his stylish homeware and jewellery. This seal design was exhibited as part of a desk set at the Salon des Artistes Français at the Grand Palais in Paris in 1910.

  • Paris: Léo-Victor Gardey, c. 1910. Bronze seal with gold patina, signed. 750 x 350 mm. No monogram or device to the base. Very light wear commensurate with age, small discoloured area near the base. Excellent condition.
