Lecornu, J[oseph]. | La Navigation Aérienne
First edition, first impression of this attractive illustrated work on the history of aeronautics, including ballooning and early, experimental fixed-wing planes.
Author Joseph Lecornu (1861-1934) earned an engineering degree in 1888 and took a gold medal for kite flying during the 1900 Olympics in Paris, though it remains unclear whether the competition was one of the official events or a demonstration sport.
