    2 volumes, tall quarto. original red cloth, titles to spines gilt. Volume II with the dust jacket, volume I lacking the jacket. Portrait frontispiece to each volume, 8 plates in volume I and 9 in volume II. Illustrations and diagrams throughout the text. Volume I a little rubbed and scuffed with faded spine and bumped corners. Cloth of volume II fresh, as are the contents of both volumes save for a paper flaw which has been folded over at pages 230-244. The jacket of volume II is rubbed and tanned with faded spine panel and some creasing and chips at the edges. A very good set.
